HI

July 20th, 2010Lots of fun with the new kid. He’s been great, a really easy kid. Much easier than “you know who” was! He sleeps all night. Nurses well and is getting so big. Laura’s back to work full time now, but taking him along with my cousin Brandy 4 days a week. 5th day we have a nanny, who we’ll share the rest of the time with another family.
More baby pix
April 21st, 2010Getting back on the blog leads me to friends’ sites and catching up on their kids. It’s cool. So here’s more on this end.
More pix after the break.
That was awesome
April 16th, 2010Laura did it again! It was harsh at times, but she pushed through every moment. We didn’t have the room or the audience like we did last time, so fewer photos, but we were much more comfortable at home. Laura was in labor basically from midnight onward, she woke me up at 12:45, called Nickie at 1:30. She was here at 2:30 with her kid, who slept in Waylon’s bed. Nickie was here with her mom Juli who is a midwife. We are so glad they were here and helped us so much.
Long story short, Johnny Warner Peticolas Immel was born at 6:10 in the morning on April 16, 2010.
We’ll get some better pics of the kid soon. Time for a nap.
Anyway, things seem great. Waylon and Laura say it’s O-TAY!

Baby on the way
April 16th, 2010Laura is in serious labor. Nickie our doula is here, and the midwives Juli and Heather. We’re gonna have the baby soon!
Getting pretty close
April 8th, 2010Let’s use the edit function to restate things. Laura’s been having contractions for a week now. We’ve had our doula over twice, and she went to the hospital with us Friday night. Quoting her “I don’t really want to deliver a baby”. Labor quit soon thereafter. That was a long night! We now have a midwife and are planning to just get it done at home. With our doula, too, of course.
Laura says she is going to start marching around the neighborhood tomorrow. Our actual due date is Friday. We’ll see how this goes!
Dog’s gone
January 18th, 2010Eno finally got some relief today when the doctor came and put him down. He went fast, laying on Laura’s knee eating grilled cheese and ham sandwiches. The doctor said “Wow, he was really ready”.
You’ve never met a more gentle or loyal pal than Eno. He only bit me once!
